It’s important to know, as store dry food properly, otherwise it will not only lose its properties, but may even harm your pet.

Dry food storage rules

Dry packaging should be closed to minimize contact with air.
If you buy food by weight, put it in a plastic jar and close the lid tightly. You can also use iron and glass jars.
If you bought a large package of food (more than a month), put a small amount (about a week) into a jar with a tight-fitting lid so you don’t need to open the big bag.
Do not store food near heaters or in the sun. The high temperature releases fat and the food spoils.
A cold place (like a refrigerator) is also not a good choice. Condensation can accumulate in the dry food bag and the food will become moldy.
Do not leave soaked dry food in the bowl for the whole day: it will turn sour.
