How to choose a cat by character?
Calm
Many people love cats, but not every owner is ready to endure their pranks. For such owners, an accommodating animal is more suitable, which will not rush around the apartment or disturb the owner’s peace at night, declaring its rights with a loud meow. If the family has small children, then it is important that the pet endures their attention.
The ideal choice in this case would be Maine Coons, Russian Blues, Burmillas or Siberian Forest Cats.
Sociable
The situation is completely different if the owners get a cat to play with. They need a pet that will be happy to run for a piece of paper or sit on their hands. There are breeds of cats that, in their love for people, are in no way inferior to dogs. If desired, individual breeds can even be trained.
These include Bengal and Abyssinian cats. The Canadian Sphynx also has a sociable character.
Independent
Playing with a cat is nice, but not everyone and not always manages to spend a lot of time with a pet. For busy people, more independent breeds are suitable, which will calmly relate to the daily departure of the owner to work.
Here you can highlight the British shorthair cat. Breeders claim that she will love her master dearly, but at the same time remain independent. Kuril Bobtails and Turkish Vans are distinguished by a similar character.
Cleanliness
Such a request is popular with people suffering from allergies, as well as those who are afraid of its appearance in themselves and their loved ones. Therefore, they want to choose a pet whose presence in the house will not lead to painful consequences.
In this case, we can safely recommend a bald cat – a sphinx. Breeds that love water procedures are also acceptable. These are, in particular, Turkish van and savannah.
It is better to communicate with the cat before purchasing, look at its reaction and attitude towards you, in order to understand whether you are suitable for each other.
Choosing a cat by character is one of the ways to get a pet at home that can become a full-fledged member of the family and be loved by everyone. But at the same time, it is important to remember that each animal is unique, it has a character and personality, and therefore, when choosing, one cannot rely only on the generalized features of the breed. It is better to communicate with the cat before purchasing, look at its reaction and attitude towards you, in order to understand whether you are suitable for each other.
