How nutrient deficiency in water affects aquarium plants
Aquatic plants consume the nutrients they need to grow from the water and soil. For them, they are as important as fish food. If certain trace elements are not enough, then growth problems will arise, in the worst case, the plant may simply die. Most often, plants suffer from a lack of iron, calcium, manganese, magnesium, nitrogen, phosphates, potassium and carbon dioxide.
The infographic below shows signs of how the lack of a particular micronutrient affects the plant.
