hottonia
Hottonia or Turcha marsh, scientific name Hottonia palustris. It comes from the temperate zone of Europe, sometimes found in Asia Minor. It grows along the banks of streams and rivers, in swamps. It is considered not so much an aquarium as a medicinal plant. In nature, it is on the verge of extinction and is listed in the Red Book in many European countries.
The plant has a massive stem from which complex “carved” leaves extend.
