Guinea pig Mini-Yak
The mini yak guinea pig (Sheba Mini Yak) is known as the “Australian breed” because it was bred in Australia. In fact, a mini-yak is a long-haired Abyssinian guinea pig, with pronounced rosettes on the coat. The coat grows to a certain length and does not grow back.
A breed bred in 1969 by Wynn Echen (founder of the NSW Cavy Club), in New South Wales, Sydney. This breed is a recognized breed in Australia and standards for mini yaks have been developed there.

Sheba (another name for a mini-yak) is a semi-long-haired pig. Her coat should be tough, like a rex (but this is quite difficult to achieve), rather long – reach the floor when the pig is standing. The rosettes make the fur look raised off the skin, so mini-yaks look a bit like parrots. The muzzle is framed by large sideburns, the bangs serve over the eyes or hang down to one side.
It is undesirable to cross mini-yaks with long-haired breeds, as the structure of the coat deteriorates and the coat lengthens.
Color can be any, as a single tone, or a combination of several colors.
Thus, the mini-yak is a very rare breed that you can hardly find in Russia.
