Shrimp babaulti green or Green shrimp (Caridina cf. babaulti “Green”), belongs to the Atyidae family. It comes from the waters of India. The original coloration of the body is not only a hereditary trait, but can be enhanced by the inclusion in the diet of foods such as green peppers and other vegetables that have this color when ripe.

There is a closely related color form, the Indian zebra shrimp (Caridina babaulti “Stripes”). It is worth avoiding the joint maintenance of both forms in order to avoid the appearance of hybrid offspring.
Maintenance and care
Such miniature shrimp, adults do not exceed 3 cm, can be kept in a hotel and community aquarium, but provided that there are no large, aggressive or carnivorous fish species in it. In the design, shelters are required, where the Green Shrimp can hide during molting.
They are unpretentious in content, they feel great in a wide range of pH and dH values. They are a kind of orderlies of the aquarium, eating uneaten remnants of fish food. It is advisable to serve herbal supplements in the form of pieces of homemade vegetables and fruits (potatoes, carrots, cucumbers, apples, etc.), if they are deficient, they can switch to plants.
