Graceful corridor
Graceful Corydoras or Catfish Habrosus, scientific name Corydoras habrosus, belongs to the family Callichthyidae (armored or callichthy catfishes). The Russian-language name comes from the Latin word “habrosus”, meaning “graceful, delicate.” The name Venezuelan Pygmy Corey is also used in the sale.
The fish is native to South America. Inhabits part of the Orinoco River Basin in eastern Colombia and western Venezuela. Rivers and streams flow through the plain with water meadows and pastures. During the rainy season, the plain is flooded and turns into a swamp for several months. Catfish prefers to be in small tributaries, shallow creeks of rivers, swims in flooded areas of forests and meadows. Keeps near thickets of aquatic plants, roots and fallen branches of trees.

Description
Adults reach a length of about 3 cm. The color palette is somewhat variable in terms of the amount and size of black pigment, so some researchers consider this a sign of the presence of several subspecies. The main color is yellowish or silver with black markings. The dark markings consist of a wide strip along the body, sometimes interrupted, and numerous speckles. The fins and tail are decorated with contrasting stripes.

Maintenance and care
Although the fish is more than modest in size, it is not suitable for the so-called “nano-aquaria”. The optimal tank sizes for a group of 4-6 individuals start at 50 liters. Arrangement is arbitrary. The minimum set of decor elements includes a sandy soil or fine gravel substrate and several shelters. The latter can be natural driftwood and thickets of plants, as well as any other items that can be used in an aquarium.
An important condition for keeping the Graceful Corridor, as well as any other fish, is a clean aquarium with warm water, which has the hydrochemical composition of water necessary for this species. Maintaining a stable habitat is entirely dependent on the smooth operation of the equipment and the regular maintenance of the aquarium: replacing part of the water with fresh water, removing organic waste, etc.

behavior and compatibility. It has a peaceful calm disposition. As neighbors, other Corydoras catfish and any other non-aggressive fish of a comparable size are suitable.
