Gastromison farragus

Gastromyzon farragus, scientific name Gastromyzon farragus, belongs to the family Balitoridae (River loaches). Most commonly found in the aquarium trade. Endemic to a small region of Borneo in Southeast Asia. It lives exclusively in the basin of the Sadong River, which flows through the territory of the Malaysian state of Sarawak.

Outwardly, it resembles another closely related species of Gastromizon ocellatus. He also has a dark body color and cream markings on his back, interspersed with numerous light dots on his sides. The caudal fin is pinkish, but the pattern is different. It is by the tail that these two species are distinguished. In addition, Faragus is somewhat smaller and reaches no more than 4 cm in length.
