Protein is extremely important for puppies. However, if during natural feeding the puppy is fed only meat, while the diet is not supplemented with minerals, in particular calcium, problems with the musculoskeletal system may occur.
The main source of energy when feeding a puppy with natural food is fat. As a source of fat, vegetable oil (but not olive oil) and fish oil are suitable.
Carbohydrates are an alternative source of energy, but when feeding a puppy with natural food, you can do without them. Of course, if the puppy is doing well with digestion and does not have diarrhea.
When feeding a puppy with natural food, do not forget that the puppy eats often and little by little. For example, at 2 months a puppy is fed 5-6 times a day, and at 4 months – at least 4 times.
