Dogs don’t lie

Some owners are convinced that their dogs are virtuoso liars capable of building real fraudulent schemes. However, such a judgment is nothing more than a delusion, a manifestation of anthropomorphism – attributing to a dog qualities that are unique to humans …

Dogs dont lie

Dogs are incapable of lying. And the fact that they sometimes “pretend” (according to the owners) is most often a learned behavior that the owners themselves once reinforced. We have already written about this.

Dogs show their emotions honestly, which is why their body language can be trusted. And, therefore, it is safe to communicate with them.

Also, specialists who deal with the correction of problematic behavior of dogs often say that they have two clients at the consultation: the dog and the owner. And if their “testimonies” diverge, then it’s worth believing … that’s right, the dog. Because if the owner, for example, assures that “he didn’t even touch the pet with his finger,” and the dog tucks his tail and recoils when he approaches, there is reason to doubt the sincerity of the person’s assurances.

So dogs are not capable of conscious deception. And this is what makes them different from humans.
