DIY dog treats
Recipes for healthy treats
Number of finished products: approximately 24 servings.
With canned food:
- Open the jar and lay out its contents.
- Cut the pâté into 0,5 cm thick slices and then cut each slice into small pieces.
- Bake the treat in the microwave at high power for about 2-3 minutes.
- Keep baked homemade treats in the refrigerator for up to 5-7 days.
- The amount of homemade treats should not exceed 10% of your pet’s total daily diet, as heat treatment changes the nutritional properties of the product.
- Don’t freeze homemade treats!
If you are using the oven, place the small pieces on an ungreased baking sheet and bake at 175°C for about 30 minutes until crispy.
With dry food:
- Grind 2 cups of dry food in a blender to a powder.
- Pour the powder into a bowl and, stirring gradually, add water until the dough is kneaded.
- Form the dough into a cookie shape and flatten with a spoon.
- Place on an ungreased baking sheet and bake in the oven at 175°C for about 30 minutes until crispy.
- Store cooked treats in the refrigerator for up to 5-7 days.

Cookie cutters will make the cooking process even more fun. Please note: food Hill’s Prescription Diet a/d not suitable for preparing homemade treats according to the above recipes. However, you can use this food for this dish:
- Roll up small balls of canned food and place them in the freezer. Serve frozen. In the hot summer period, the delicacy will be an excellent refreshing treat for your pet.
