Corydoras pig
Corydoras delfax or Corydoras-mumps, scientific name Corydoras delphax. Scientists named this catfish in honor of not the cleanest animal for one reason – it also digs the ground with its nose in search of food. The word “delphax” from ancient Greek just means “little pig, piglet.” This, of course, is where their commonalities end.
Catfish has several closely related species that look almost identical, and therefore there are difficulties with identification. For example, it is very similar to such species as Spotted Corydoras, Short-faced Corydoras, Agassiz Corydoras, Ambiyaka Corydoras and some others. Often, different types can be hidden under the same name. However, in the event of a mistake, there is no problem with maintenance, since they all need a similar habitat.

Maintenance and care
Not demanding and easy to keep fish. Perfectly adapts to a wide range of acceptable conditions. Able to live in both slightly acidic and slightly alkaline water with low or medium hardness. An aquarium of 80 liters with sandy soft soil and several shelters is considered the optimal habitat. It is important to provide warm, clean water and prevent the accumulation of organic waste (food leftovers, excrement, fallen plant fragments). Maintaining biological balance depends on the smooth operation of the equipment, primarily the filtration system, and the regularity of the obligatory maintenance procedures for the aquarium. The latter include the weekly replacement of part of the water with fresh water, cleaning the soil and design elements, etc.
Food. An omnivorous species, it will accept most popular food in the aquarium trade of a suitable size. The only condition is that the products must be sinking, since catfish spend most of their time in the bottom layer.
behavior and compatibility. Corydoras pig is peaceful, gets along well with relatives and other species. Given its high adaptability, it is ideal for most freshwater aquariums. Prefers to be in a group of 4-6 individuals.
