Corridor of Pastas
Corydoras Pastas or catfish Cory Pastas, scientific name Corydoras pastazensis, belongs to the family Callichthyidae (Shelled or callichthy catfishes). The fish got its name from the area where it was first discovered – the basin of the Pastaza River, which flows in South America in Ecuador. In a number of sources, the name Corydoras orcesi is used as a synonym, which was such until 2001, until it was isolated as an independent species.

Description
Adults reach a length of 6–7 cm. The main color is gray with numerous black specks all over the body. A characteristic feature of the species are two vertical dark strokes. The first passes through the head, the second in the front of the body. It is worth noting that the mentioned catfish Corydoras orcesi has a similar coloration, but differs in a less regular spotted pattern, and the second stroke is more uniform.

Maintenance and care
The optimal environment for keeping a group of 4-6 fish is achieved in an aquarium from 100 liters with a soft substrate in which the catfish will dig and several shelters. As the latter, both natural objects (snags, living plants) and any other artificial decor will go.
Like most other Cory, Corydoras Pastaza is not demanding and adapts well to various conditions, as long as they are within the acceptable range of temperatures and hydrochemical values. To this end, the aquarium is equipped with the necessary equipment and regular maintenance procedures are carried out.
Food. The diet is very wide, the fish accepts a wide variety of products, so there will be no problems with choosing the right food. The main thing is to choose a diet containing sinking foods.
behavior and compatibility. Neighborhood catfish can make up almost all peaceful freshwater fish. Thanks to his calm disposition and ability to live in various conditions, the choice of compatible species will not be a problem.
