Comet

The Comet Goldfish is a further development of the classic Goldfish, distinguished by larger fins and a more elongated and forked tail. It was first bred in the USA in the 19th century. Currently, it is bred in large quantities, both in home aquariums and in ponds and lakes. It is an extremely hardy species, akin to its wild relatives, able to adapt to low temperatures just above freezing. Due to their unpretentiousness and unpretentiousness in food, they can be recommended to beginner aquarists. Setting up an aquarium won’t be a problem, but since they are active and fast swimmers, they tend to jump out, so a lid is desirable.

The comet is very similar to its predecessor and is often confused with the Goldfish. Both have an almost identical body shape – elongated and somewhat flat. Differences in fins and coloration. Color combinations can be different: red-orange with white, mother-of-pearl, silver, sometimes white. In many ways, color is determined by the level of light and diet.
