Caring for your kitten’s well-being
The first thing you should do is make sure your cat is up to date with all vaccinations and your local veterinarian has told you how to take care of her health.
We at Hills Pet recommend feeding your kitten one of our rations twice a day, controlling the portion size.
The kitten will get used to proper nutrition and grow up healthy, with strong muscles and bones and healthy eyesight.
If you are unable to feed your pet twice a day for personal reasons, you can try other feeding methods.
- Try feeding your kitten small meals in the morning and the next time you get home.
- Free Choice Feeding means that your kitten has access to food throughout the day, usually dry food. However, this method of feeding can lead to the development of obesity, so it is important to regularly take the kitten to the veterinarian for examination.
- “Timed Feeding”: You leave the kitten’s food in portions at certain hours. Put the food in a bowl in the morning and let it sit for 30 minutes while you get ready for work. Then put away the bowl and go to work. Feed the remaining amount of food to the kitten when you return home.
