Tap water has a neutral pH value of 7.0 on the acidity scale, and hardness may vary by region. If scale forms on the walls of the kettle, then you have hard water. If the kettle is always clean inside, then the water is soft.

For a more accurate determination of water parameters, you can purchase special test kits (at a pet store or via the Internet), usually these are litmus papers, as well as reagents for changing water parameters.

3. Look for unpretentious fish

The child must learn responsibility and does not at all have to do a lot of aquarium maintenance. It will rather take away all desire from him.
