Ammunition for dogs

Ammunition for dogs includes various collars, harnesses, leashes, muzzles and much more. These are essential items for every pet. They are used in everyday life, while participating in exhibitions, in training and in sports. All ammunition for dogs is divided into four types.

Household ammunition

This group includes items of equipment for dogs intended for regular use. This is a collar, leash or harness and in some cases a muzzle. Collars for dogs come in different types:

1. Regular collar with clasp. Available in leather or nylon, it is suitable for everyday use and is one of the most popular. It can be easily adjusted to the size of the dog’s neck.

2. Collar-noose. A less common model, it is recommended for use in cases where the dog is restless or just learning to walk on a leash. Most often, this type of collar is chosen for performances.

3. Metal collar. It is preferred by owners of service dogs or strong short-haired pets. For long-haired representatives, the chain is unlikely to suit, since its frequent use can lead to bald patches.

When choosing a leash, it is important to focus not only on your feelings, but also to understand the purpose for which you are acquiring it, how the dog will feel in it. Therefore, first of all, pay attention to its convenience. A tape measure is suitable for daily walks, a nylon classic leash is a good option for both walking and training. Its advantage is low cost and reliability. There are also metal leashes, which are ideal for dogs that can chew through their gear. Sparky leashes are sold for several animals.

It is worth mentioning that the address book is a very useful accessory for every domestic dog. If a pet is lost, the chances of its return increase significantly if it has a pendant with the address and contacts of the owner on it.

Training ammunition

This includes both accessories for the dog (for example, a parfors – a collar with spikes), and special clothing for the trainer that protects him from bites. At the same time, the trainer’s equipment can also be different: from lightweight, when only sleeves or gloves are used, to a full-fledged suit, which is a bit like a spacesuit.

In addition, professional dog training equipment includes various tools such as a belt bag for the trainer and special toys for fetching.

Exhibition ammunition

This group primarily includes a show leash – a special exhibition leash made of nylon, leather or metal, which helps to guide the dog in the ring.

As a rule, the show ring is chosen according to the color of the dog, so as not to distract the attention of the judges from the animal. However, some owners prefer contrasting models with decor – for example, with rhinestones and beads.

Sports ammunition

Professional dog equipment is often required to participate in dog sports such as skijoring, canicross, skipulling, and so on. Depending on the sport, special riding harnesses, pulls, a belt for a skier or a runner and other items of equipment for a dog and an athlete are used.

When choosing ammunition for a dog, it is better to refrain from saving if possible: a good and high-quality product will last a long time. Here the principle “the miser pays twice” works flawlessly.
