Ammania multiflora
Ammania multiflora, scientific name Ammannia multiflora. In nature, it is widely distributed in the subtropical zone of Asia, Africa and Australia. It grows in a humid environment in the coastal part of rivers, lakes and other water bodies, including agricultural ones.
The plant grows up to 30 cm in height and in small aquariums is able to reach the surface. The leaves grow straight from the stem in pairs opposite each other in tiers, one above the other. The color of the old leaves located below is greenish. The color of new leaves and the upper part of the stem may turn red depending on the conditions of detention. In summer, miniature pink flowers are formed at the base of the leaves (the place of attachment to the stem), in a loose state they are about a centimeter in diameter.
Ammania multiflora is considered quite unpretentious, able to successfully adapt to a different environment. However, in order for the plant to show itself in beauty, it is necessary to provide the conditions indicated below.
