Reineck’s Alternantera Small-leaved, scientific name Alternanthera reineckii “Kleines Papageienblatt”, is an ornamental variety of Reineck’s Alternanther, distinguished from other varieties by smaller leaves. Used in aquariums 1960-x years. The peak of its popularity came at the time of active enthusiasm for Dutch aquariums, where it was the basis of the composition, favorably differing from other plants with straight and symmetrical shoots. The plant reaches a height of no more than 30 cm, the leaves are short about 2 cm in length and 1 cm wide.
