Jack London “White Fang”

A story about a tamed wolf living in America during the Gold Rush. We see events through the eyes of the White Fang, who cognizes the world of people, not always turning to the brave and strong hero with a bright side. But the laws of nature are inexorable: the triumph of goodness and justice is inevitable. The novel gained well-deserved popularity all over the world and survived many adaptations. 

Sheila Barnford “The Incredible Journey”

The main characters of the book – a bull terrier, a Labrador and a Siamese cat – unable to bear the separation from their owners, go in search of them. Friends will cross the whole of America, meet many different people and animals. However, the Musketeer motto “One for all and all for one” allows you to pass through all the trials with honor. This is a bright, touching book imbued with faith in goodness. 

Eric Knight “Lassie”

Joe Carraclough, the son of an English miner, considers himself lucky. No wonder, because all dog breeders of Yorkshire envy him – you will not find such a wonderful collie in all of England. Every day, Lassie came to the school to meet Joe, and one day she didn’t show up. Horrible news awaited Joe at home: his parents sold the dog to get out of debt. But for faithful Lassie, there was only one master. A high fence, an iron chain and a huge distance of several thousand miles to her home did not stop the faithful collie – she has a long and adventurous way home ahead of her. After all, the heart of a real Scottish Shepherd beats for only one person.

Erin Hunter “Warrior Cats”

This is a series of novels focusing on the adventures of the wildcats of ThunderClan. The story begins with a description of the adventures of the kitten Ryzhik, who ran away from the Twolegs and ended up in a wild tribe. There, Ryzhik’s life changed dramatically: he experienced many adventures and became a real Warrior. The main characters of the second cycle: Hurricane and Blackberry. And the third cycle is being conducted on behalf of Ryzhik’s grandchildren: Sparrow, Holly and Lionblaze.

James Oliver Curwood “Vagabonds of the North”

The main characters of the story are the bear cub Neeve and the puppy Miki. They were shackled by one chain during transportation on board the boat. By negligence, the kids fell into the water. And by chance, they became true friends, helping each other with honor to get out of dangerous trials. No one can defeat them: not vicious wolves, not killer owls, not crows.
