Maintenance and care

Quite easy to maintain, unpretentious, do not require the creation of special conditions. It is allowed to keep in a common aquarium together with peaceful small fish. Tiger shrimp prefers soft, slightly acidic water, although it adapts well to other pH and dGH values. The design should include areas with dense vegetation to protect offspring and places for shelters (grottoes, caves, etc.) where adults can hide during molting.

They are aquarium orderlies, they happily eat the remains of food left over from aquarium fish, various organic matter (fallen fragments of plants), algae, etc. It is recommended to add chopped pieces of vegetables and fruits (potatoes, zucchini, carrots, cucumber, cabbage leaves, lettuce, spinach, apple, pear, etc.). Pieces should be renewed periodically to prevent contamination of the water with decomposition products.

Optimal conditions of detention

General hardness – 1–10°dGH

Value pH — 6.0–7.5

Temperature — 25–30°С
