අක්ෂර

It is easy to see that the American Mastiff looks like a copy of the English Mastiff . Actually, he appeared as a result of crossing the English Mastiff and the Anatolian Shepherd Dog. The main breeder of the American Mastiff is Frederica Wagner. The breeder wanted to create a dog that looked like an English mastiff, but at the same time more clean and healthy.

Interestingly, the American Mastiff was recognized as a purebred breed quite recently – in 2000 it was registered by the Continental Kennel Club. At the same time, only a dog belonging to the Frederica Wagner Club can be considered a real American Mastiff. A small and rare breed is still at the stage of its formation and formation.

American Mastiffs combine the qualities of their English counterparts and sheepdogs: these calm, good-natured dogs are very devoted to their master. They are easy to train, listen carefully to the trainer and in general most often show themselves as soft and balanced pets.

In everyday life, the American Mastiff is not aggressive and peaceful, but when it comes to protecting the family, this is a completely different dog – he makes a decision with lightning speed and goes on the attack. However, the American mastiff is indifferent to strangers, even friendly.

Despite all the positive qualities, the American Mastiff needs a strong hand and education. And it’s not even in his character, but in the dimensions. Often the dog reaches a gigantic size, and it is very difficult to cope with a huge spoiled animal. That is why it must be educated from childhood.

The American Mastiff, like most large dogs, gets along well with other animals in the house. He is too kind to pointlessly share territory or favorite toys.

The dog treats children with understanding and love, even toddlers. Mastiffs make excellent nannies, patient and attentive.

සත්කාර

The American Mastiff does not require much grooming. It is enough to comb the dog’s short hair once a week, no more. During the molting period, the dog should be brushed a couple of times a week. It is important not to forget about cutting claws, if they do not grind off on their own, and brushing your pet’s teeth.

Interestingly, the American Mastiff does not have excessive salivation. It is easier to care for him than for his English relative.

රැඳවුම් කොන්දේසි

The American Mastiff will feel great outside the city, in a private home. Despite the large size, the dog is not put in a booth, and it is not recommended to keep it in an aviary – it is best for the dog to be free-range.

Like other large dogs, the American Mastiff can have joint problems. Therefore, it is especially important to monitor the physical activity of puppies, not to let them run, jump and climb stairs for too long.
