අක්ෂර

The Alpine Dachshund is a very rare breed of dog that is almost impossible to meet outside of its homeland – Austria. The breed is considered universal: dogs can both follow game on the trail (mainly foxes and hares), and for a long, long time to chase prey.

Experts consider the Alpine Dachshund to be an ancient breed of dog, although it was officially registered in 1975. The Alpine Hound has a close relative – the Westphalian Bracke, with which they form a single group of Alpine Bracken breeds.

The Alpine Dachshund, like most hounds, has a balanced character. They are loyal and loyal to their owner. By the way, despite the fact that dogs are affectionate with all family members, they have one leader and favorite, and this, as a rule, is the head of the family. Representatives of the breed can be stubborn, but this is quite rare. They have a submissive disposition, learn easily and with pleasure. But, if the owner has little experience in upbringing and training , it is still recommended to contact a cynologist  – a professional in his field.

Representatives of this breed are quite independent. They do not need constant attention and affection. Rather, on the contrary, these dogs need their own space and time to go about their business. They can hardly be called decorative dogs, so they don’t need round-the-clock care at all. However, they will never give up playing and spending time together with the owner.

The Alpine Dachsbracke gets along well with the animals in the house. The main thing is the neighbor’s willingness to compromise. The hounds do not seek to be in power, although they will not tolerate aggression against them.

Dogs of this breed treat small children with understanding, but it is difficult to call them nannies – the specific character and working qualities of dogs affect. But with school-age children, Alpine hounds will be happy to play in the fresh air.

Alpine Dachsbracke Care

The short coat of the dog does not require special care, it is enough to wipe the pet once or twice a week with a towel or massage brush-comb. It is important to monitor the cleanliness of the ears, the condition of the eyes, teeth and claws of the pet, cleaning and other necessary procedures in time.

රැඳවුම් කොන්දේසි

Alpine Dachshund, being a hound, is able to run in the open air for a long time, they are energetic and hardy animals. They can live in the conditions of the city, but the owner must be ready for frequent and long walks in nature. It is necessary to find time for such outings at least once a week.
