Ariege bracque (Ariege mutató)
Characteristics of Ariege bracque (Ariege pointer)
- With a pronounced hunting instinct;
Unfortunately, information about the progenitors of the Arierge Braccoi has been largely lost. In France, the Arriège Braque was recognized as a breed in 1860. As is often the case, the breed was named after the name of the area where it was bred. During the Second World War, there was no time for breeding hunting dogs, and after it ended, it turned out that there were practically none left. In 1988, French cynologists “put on the wanted list” the last representatives of the breed and since 1990 began to restore the livestock of these wonderful animals that retained the type of white royal dogs, crossing them with Saint Germain and French Bracques. In 1998, the Arriège Braccoi recognized the IFF.
