The first thing that should not please, but confuse the buyer is a suspiciously low price, an advertisement for “cheap” furminators, furminators with a big discount. As a rule, these are fakes.
Look at the top of the front of the package. On the originals, you will see the phrase “Anti-Shedding Tool” printed in four foreign languages.
You can recognize the original “Furminator” by the sticker of the distributor – CJSC “Valta Pet Products”. If you see such a sticker on the package, you have an instrument officially imported into the country.

Each original Furminator is assigned a number. It is engraved on the back of the instrument. For fakes, all numbers are duplicated.
We evaluate the design. The working part of the blade for the originals is slightly curved, while for fakes it is straight. The originals have strong handles: a metal rod is placed under the rubber coating. Fakes don’t have that.
Pay attention to the tool series. The DeLuxe and Classic series have not been delivered to Russia since 2012.
